The Citypulse DA7.2x Mark  II DAC fully compliments our philosophy.

This Digital to Analogue converter has been known by knowledgeable audiophiles as the best DAC available at any where near its price.  The Benchmark DAC-1 (a wonderful unit), just edges out the Citypulse…but costs over $500 more and will not double as a pre-amp as the DA&.2x Mark II does.

This unit, in the level 2 upgrade, uses only premium audio parts such as those from Wima, Evox and Rubycon (close to Blackgates in quality). For high quality conversion at extended bit rates, (24 Bit/196K), the Texas Instruments PCM-1796 was chosen for its superior performance.  Not to be outdone, the exemplary Crystal Semiconductor CS8416 IC was carefully chosen to be the digital input device. This has resulted in a DAC with an expansive soundstage, deep taught bass, liquid midrange and ethereal highs.
